Kareha (カレハ, Kareha^? ) is a side character in the Shuffle! series. She is Asa Shigure's best friend and Rin Tsuchimi's senior.

She has her own route in the PS2 release of Shuffle! and Shuffle! Essence+ where she reveals she has been interested in Rin since they've met.

Personality

Kareha has a laid-back and calming personality. Although, she is an excessive romanticist and has an unusually strong delusional habit, and she often creates a love story in her head whenever she sees something romantic or cute, and starts to daydream. While having said daydream, she says her catchphrase "Maa! Maa!! Maa!!!" (translated to "My!! My!! My!!!") This can be seen various times in the anime and visual novels when Asa and Rin are together and she starts "fangirling" about them together.

She is mildly oblivious to her own actions (leaning over in front of Rin wearing a short dress) and things around but her charm makes up for it.

Like Asa, Kareha shares a love for cooking, having many cooking books at her home. Her favorite thing to make is fruit desserts.

Background

When the gate opened 10 years prior, her whole family moved from the divine world to the human world. Living with her parents and Tsubomi, her little sister by three years. She lives in a Western-style house in a residential area.

She works a part time job as a waitress in a café called Flora, one that Rin and the other characters visit frequently and she is very popular with the customers. She is also very popular in the school, and although there are quite a few love confessions, she declined all of them. She placed second place at the cultural festival event "Miss Verbena".

It is assumed she got to know Rin and his friends after being introduced to Asa, but in fact, through his sister Tsubomi, who knew about Rin, though she didn't know his name. Both sisters are secretly members of Tsuchimi Lovers, Rin's fanclub.
