Hatsune Tsuchimi (土見初音 Tsuchimi Hatsune? ) is a minor character in the Shuffle! series. He was the father of Rin Tsuchimi and husband of Ms. Tsuchimi. Kaede Fuyou's father Mikio Fuyou and him were best friends, giving Hatsune the nickname "Hatobei."
He was killed in the same accident that claimed his wife and Kaede's mother. While he does not make a physical appearance as he passed away eight years prior to the events of Shuffle! series, he is mentioned during the flashbacks in Really? Really!.
Etymology[]
- The name Hatsune means "first time, new, beginning" (初) (hatsu) and "sound" (音) (ne).
- Hatsune's surname Tsuchimi means "soil, earth" (土) (tsuchi) and "see, hopes, chances, idea, opinion, look at, visible" (見) (mi).
