Kirara Kinoshita (木下 きらら, Kinoshita Kirara^? ) is a character in the Shuffle! series and main character in Shuffle! Episode 2. She is also a side character in Princess x Princess.

Background

Kirara is a first year and is enrolled in the same theater department as Kohaku. She is always very excited and speaks fast, and often speaks with a strange Japanese accent.

Although Kirara is a genuine human, she had to transfer many times because of her parents' work. She is considered a "returning child" with a history of "born in the god world and raised in the demon world", so she is not quite used to the ways of the human world.

She longs for the human world, and when her father decides to move to the human world alone, she makes the decision to join him, while her mother and siblings stayed in the Devil World.

She considers Raito Aioi her senpai.

• Citrine: Her childhood friend and classmate. Citrine tries to correct Kirara's biased thinking of the human world, but Kirara is still fairly unconvinced.

• The name Kirara is written in hiragana (きらら), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (煌, 光, 輝, 慧, 雲母, 希星, 稀星, 綺星, 姫星, 妃星, 輝星, 稀月, 輝空, 煌空, 希来々, 稀良々, 綺羅々, 騎蘭々 or 喜楽々), it could possibly mean:
  • 煌 - "glitter, gleam, twinkle".
  • 光 - "light".
  • 輝 - "brightness, radiance, shine, sparkle, gleam, twinkle".
  • 慧 - "intelligent".
